Saltmarsh Financial Advisors Hosts Series Of Educational Events Featuring Dr. Apollo Lupescu

We were honored to sponsor Apollo D. Lupescu, PhD of Dimensional Fund Advisors (DFA) as a guest speaker for various Saltmarsh Financial Advisor events this week.

Dr. Lupescu is a member of the DFA Investment Strategies Group and his role is to educate the public on Dimensional's academic foundations and investment beliefs, which are considered to be an alternative to the traditional Wall Street approach. Within 'The Science of Investing' presentations, he discussed their alternative investment process that implements Professor Eugene Fama's Nobel Prize winning research in conjunction with additional academic evidence.

During his visit, he presented in multiple Saltmarsh Financial Advisor events in Pensacola and Destin. He was also a featured guest speaker at the award winning Florida Institute for Human and Machine Cognition Evening Lecture Series on January 15. This lecture series is a community forum that discusses a variety of enlightening topics such as finance, technology and medicine, amongst other subjects.

We enjoyed listening to his engaging presentations that demonstrated the investment strategies that DFA implements through state-of-the-art portfolio design, trading practices and fees.
