Saltmarsh Announces Internal Promotions of 2022

We're proud to announce the following internal promotions as of January 1, 2022:

Shareholder

Beth Skarda - Beth has been promoted to Shareholder. She joined the firm full time in 2006 and has been providing tax compliance, strategic planning and consulting services for hundreds of the firm’s individual, partnership and corporate clients within the healthcare, real estate, legal services and manufacturing industries. She is a dedicated contributor to the community and currently lends her expertise as Treasurer on the Board of Directors for multiple organizations. Beth also serves in a leadership role on Saltmarsh’s People Development Committee and the Outsourced Accounting Solutions practice. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants (FICPA).

Senior Manager & Director

Carol Rosenblatt, CPA, CIT - Carol has been promoted to Director in our Audit & Assurance Services practice. She has over 25 years of experience and collaborates with several practice areas while leading a team primarily in EBP’s and construction engagements. She trains employees and clients alike and has planned several industry update events. Carol was nominated for the Trusted Advisor Award in 2021.
Cristine Torrefranca, CPA - Cristine has been promoted to Senior Manager in our Audit & Assurance Services practice! With 10 years of experience, she has her hands in a little bit of everything, including training, coaching, business development, diversity, equity and inclusion, recruiting, building client relationships and leading her audit teams. She was nominated for three fundamental awards the Seedling, the Foundation and was the recipient of the FUNdamental Award in 2021.
Angela Tumwa, CPA, CGMA - Angela has been promoted to Senior Manager in our Audit & Assurance Services practice! She has over 20 years of experience in audit and is very involved in her community! She takes pride in her work and teaches others to do the same! She makes executing all 33 of our fundamentals look easy. Her communication style, her attitude towards teamwork and her focus on doing the right thing makes her an inspiring member of our Saltmarsh family.

Manager

Jason Keith, CIA, CISA - Jason has been promoted to Manager in our Information Technology Services practice. Jason has over 20 years of professional experience and specializes in consulting highly-regulated industries. He has his CIA designation - which doesn’t mean he spent time in the Central Intelligence Agency - but rather he is a Certified Internal Auditor who consults with our financial institution clients and provides security assessments, vulnerability and penetration testing and other related information security compliance services.
Chris Stennett, CFP® - Chris has been promoted to Senior Financial Advisor. He has his CFP® designation and is passionate about helping clients plan for their financial future. As a Certified Financial Planner, he focuses on identifying clients who need someone they trust to manage their investments, aid in tax and estate planning and who can manage risk. Chris received the Key Communicator Fundamental Award and was also nominated for the Trusted Advisor Award in 2021.

Supervisor

Alex O'Brien - Alex has been promoted to Supervisor in our Audit & Assurance Services practice. She is a team player who is always thinking of ways to help others achieve success - which is the same approach she takes with her clients as well. She has a passion for helping her Saltmarsh family and will lend a helping hand to anyone who needs it! In a nutshell, Alex treats you like family.
Amy Stachowicz - Amy has been promoted to Supervisor in our Audit & Assurance Services practice. She has great respect for her clients and enjoys building deeper relationships with them in order to better understand the needs of their business. She is a true team player, a valued member of the firm since 2006, enjoys working with other practices and is very involved in her community! Amy will always do what’s best for her clients.
Daniyelle Pedersen - Daniyelle has been promoted to Supervisor in our Retirement & Medical Plans practice. She always digs in and takes ownership of leading her team. She has taken the lead on learning more about how her team can interact with other practices and how she can better serve the firm’s clients. She has over 20 years of experience and was instrumental in leading the team through their software conversion in 2021. Danielle takes action to get things done!
Connie O'Donnell - Connie has been promoted to Supervisor in the Tax & Accounting Services practice. She has over 25 years of public accounting experience and is a go-to person for many of our new tax staff and seniors. Her contagious positivity coupled with her years of tax experience and a degree in Education keep her calm, cool and collected when training and coaching others. She was nominated for the FUNdamental Award in 2021. Connie knows how to help others succeed!

Senior

Camille Benacci, CPA - Camille has been promoted to Senior Auditor. She attended our first Beacon leadership program in 2017, became the first graduate to take a vantage of our professional designation policy - passing her exams prior to starting full-time - and was the first of two accounting professionals to receive their CPA in 2021. Camille was also nominated for the Team Player Fundamental Award this year!
Katherine Murphy - Katherine has been promoted to Senior Accountant. She is a go-to tax professional that has been described as a lifesaver, a master of calm and has been a peer to many new staff. She is a member of the Spark mentor program, is on the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion committee, is active in her community, serves as a board member and has brought new clients to the firm! To sum it up Katherine is an outstanding leader and role model!
Alex Clarke - Alex has been promoted to Senior Accounting Specialist. He is a positive professional who has proven to be a team player with his Outsourced Accounting Services audit, tax and construction teams. He works closely with his clients and has demonstrated his position as a trusted advisor. Alex has a strong work ethic and will go the extra mile to get the work done right!
Chris Biedal - Chris has been promoted to Senior Health Consultant in our Healthcare Consulting practice. He has a talent for automating and streamlining processes, which is a huge asset to his team! Chris takes an active approach in establishing relationships with his clients and was nominated for the Trusted Advisor Award this year. He is also a valued member of the Fungagement team!
Ronnie Bennett - Ronnie has been promoted to Office Administrator. She supports the Healthcare practice and is the quintessential team player - which is why she was the first recipient to receive the Team Player Fundamental Award! She has over a decade of experience in the healthcare industry, she works without ego or pretension and is always focused on helping those around her to get things done! Ronnie is also a notable member of the Fungagement team!
Lisa Piotter - Lisa has been promoted to Senior Administrative Assistant. She consistently delivers quality results to her team and clients, has taken the lead on several process improvement projects, and she is not afraid to suggest changes that benefit the firm! Lisa always maintains her composure and remains a skillful professional who cares about doing the right thing always!
Nancy Patton - Nancy has been promoted to Marketing Coordinator. She is a tremendous asset, not just to the Marketing team, but to our entire firm overall. She was nominated for the Key Communicator Fundamental Award in 2021. Nancy is positive, flexible, organized and always aims to help the team succeed!
