It’s no secret that this time of year is “busy season” for the tax and accounting professionals at Saltmarsh. However, this year is exceptionally eventful given the recent passing of the Tax Cuts & Jobs Act, a sweeping tax package that marks a significant change to our nation’s tax code. With a host of changes affecting many areas of taxation, our experts have been on “speaking tours” across the region, breaking down the impact on businesses and individuals.

The changes brought on by the new law impact various businesses and industries in unique ways. Tax shareholder David Uslan has provided his expertise to technology-focused organizations like Innovation Coast and Co:Lab Pensacola, as well as civic organizations such as rotary groups, chambers of commerce, and the Association of Fundraising Professionals.

Ron Jackson visited the Association of Legal AdministratorsMike Miller highlighted to the Associated General Contractors of America (AGC) on what changes will be seen in the construction industry, and Suzanne Cox shared her thoughts with Stahl & Associates on the ramifications for their contractor clients.

As you can see, the TCJA has affected many industries, requiring changes to how businesses have operated in the past. If you have any questions, please contact a Saltmarsh Tax Advisor.
