Saltmarsh, Cleaveland & Gund Announces Internal Promotions

Saltmarsh, Cleaveland & Gund is proud to announce the following internal promotions as of January 1, 2017.

Suzanne Cox, CPA, CIT has been elected to Shareholder in the Audit & Assurance Services Department. She is active in both professional and community associations, regularly speaking at seminars to discuss various accounting related topics with an emphasis in construction. She also shares her expertise by regularly contributing to the Florida Surety Association newsletter.

Allyson Oury, CPA, CIT has been promoted to Senior Manager in the Audit & Assurance Services Department. Since joining the firm in June 1999, her primary areas of concentration have included providing audit, accounting and tax services for several of the firm’s governmental, not-for-profit, construction, contractor and homeowners association, healthcare and financial institution clients.

Camille Heckmann has been promoted to Senior in the Audit & Assurance Services Department. She is also a part of the firm’s Financial Institutions Consulting Group, with particular experience providing audit services to financial institutions. Camille has been working with financial institutions since 2008.

Tabitha Cook has been promoted to Senior in the Tax & Accounting Services Department. Prior to joining Saltmarsh in January 2014, Tabitha worked with a local professional services organization performing a variety of tax and accounting functions, including preparation of financial statements, payroll deposits and returns for clients. Tabitha recently earned her Master of Accountancy from the University of West Florida.

Nicole Fife, CPA has been promoted to Manager in the Tax & Accounting Services Department. She has been with Saltmarsh since January 2010 and her primary areas of concentration include monthly and quarterly accounting for small business clients and preparation of individual and corporate tax returns. She provides QuickBooks consulting to small businesses in various industries and also has experience with the preparation of estate, trust and gift tax returns.

Caroline Y. Beasley has been promoted to Senior in the Tax & Accounting Services Department. Prior to joining Saltmarsh in July 2016, Caroline worked with an international firm performing a variety of tax and accounting functions for corporations and partnerships, as well as assisting with auditing income tax provisions. Her primary areas of experience include high net-worth individual and small business taxation.

John Mascaro, CPA has been promoted to Technical Director, Tax Research and Planning in the Tax & Accounting Services Department. He has been practicing public accounting and taxation since 1986.  He also served in private industry as a tax director for a global power generation joint-venture between two multi-national companies. John is adept in helping companies develop and execute complex domestic and international tax strategies. 

Connie O’Donnell has been promoted to Senior in the Tax & Accounting Services Department. Prior to joining Saltmarsh in December 2014, Connie worked with a local CPA and consulting firm performing a variety of tax and accounting functions for business and personal clients, including preparation of corporate, non-profit and individual tax returns. She began her career in public accounting in 1993.

Beth Skarda has been promoted to Senior Manager in the Tax & Accounting Services Department. Prior to joining Saltmarsh in January 2006, she’d been practicing public accounting since 1994. Beth’s primary areas of experience include all areas of taxation and related accounting services.

Gary A. Kroll has been promoted to Office Administrator of the firm’s Tampa office. Gary is instrumental in managing office operations and administration as we continue to grow.
