Every fall United Way of West Florida hosts its community-wide Day of Caring, and for over 20 years our staff has joined the initiative to assist local organizations, non-profits, and schools.

On October 4th, our staff found themselves at RC Lipscomb Elementary with the task to clean-up the outside pathways, weed the flower beds, and spruce up the other landscaping!  They collected trash and debris from around the school grounds, power washed the sidewalks and cleaned out over 20 classroom flowerbeds. The final touches included newly potted plants for the front entrance!

This year, over 1,000 volunteers came together and contributed 4,968 hours of service to a variety of projects. Collectively, volunteers provided over $125,000 in free labor to 73 organizations and schools in Escambia and Santa Rosa counties.

Saltmarsh is proud to be able to participate in United Way Day of Caring every year and we can’t wait until 2020! View our album to see all the fun we had with United Way.
