Saltmarsh Hosts 3rd Annual Construction Industry Update Event

The Construction Advisors at Saltmarsh hosted their 3rd Annual Construction Industry Update on Wednesday, October 17th. The half-day seminar featured local experts speaking on our region’s most important industry concerns and developments.

Andy Copeland, Shareholder of Diversified Construction Services kicked off the event with his presentation on healthy benchmarks for financial reports and the red flags that will catch the attention of sureties and bankers. Following this, Rick Harper, Economic Advisor for Triumph Gulf Coast, shared his up-to-date local and regional economic analyses and construction industry forecasts.

The biggest change to revenue recognition in history will be coming soon, and our own Carol Rosenblatt ended the day preparing everyone for the upcoming changes that will impact current accounting policies and financial reporting processes for those in the construction industry.
