Network Support Technician

Job Description: Saltmarsh, Cleaveland & Gund, a regional public accounting and consulting firm has an excellent opportunity for an experienced Network Support Technician to support business critical systems, assemble and document PC inventory and ensure customer satisfaction. Position requires experience with Windows XP, Vista and 7, Windows Server 2003 and 2008. Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange Server, Hyper V and Terminal Server experience a plus. The responsibilities include: performing installations, upgrades, and maintenance on network infrastructure including switches and servers. This technician will also troubleshoot hardware and software network problems, perform system administration on servers and maintain network documentation. Will manage the installation process for in-house and customer systems to ensure that all hardware/software is installed in a timely manner. Installation includes all network infrastructure components such as back-up systems, switches, routers, firewalls, and servers. This position must able to address problems continuously and work through to a resolution. Some night, weekend or customer site work is required. Must be willing to put in extra time and energy to ensure excellent service and must be open and energetic on learning new skills and mastering new systems.
