WEBINAR MATERIALS: CMMC Readiness (Part 2) - Let's Talk Plans of Action & Milestones (POA&Ms)

2/26/2021

See below to access our free webinar on Thursday, February 25th.

Implementation of the Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) is upon us and companies working with the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) will need to meet CMMC requirements to bid on contracts. An interim rule change made September 29, 2020, includes a new cybersecurity assessment requirement to begin reporting your NIST 800-171 cyber score. While CMMC compliance will be phased in over a five-year period, the requirement to calculate and report your score takes effect immediately.

After reporting your cyber score, what is next? If you are like most, you didn’t score 100%. This means you have gaps to assess, plans of action & milestones (POA&Ms) to create and improvements to make. Thoroughly documenting your POA&Ms now can help you meet current cybersecurity requirements while gaining ground on CMMC as the implementation process continues.

In Part 2 of our series, we share a fresh round of information released since our last webinar. Presenters, Stephen Reyes, CISA, CISSP, CMMC-AB Provisional Assessor, and Jason Keith, CIA, CISA, CMMC-AB Registered Practitioner, share valuable insights on:

  • Creating and fulfilling POA&Ms
  • Identifying, documenting and correcting gaps
  • Leveraging your work to help with CMMC compliance
