Beacon - Saltmarsh's Summer Leadership Program - Pensacola, FL

ATTENTION ACCOUNTING STUDENTS!

Saltmarsh is proud to announce the dates for our 2019 Summer Leadership Program. 

 

Beacon is a 2-day exclusive leadership program held on May 29th and 30th in Pensacola, Florida.  With offices located throughout Florida and Nashville, Tennessee, we have chosen a central location to demonstrate what Saltmarsh has to offer.  The mission of the Beacon program is to contribute to your success and smooth your transition from the classroom to the office. 

 

Eligible students have about 2 years remaining in their education, have declared Accounting as their major and have an overall GPA of at least 3.0. 

 

This dynamic program pairs fundamental leadership training with team building and out-of-office activities to offer a 360-degree view of what it's like to be a part of the Saltmarsh team.  Our professionals will shed light on the key skills and principles that will help you navigate your career and share why they are passionate about their work.  

 

There will be:

  • Professional Development with workshops, interactive panels, and leadership course facilitated by our best.  We will equip you with a comprehensive understanding of the industry and workplace dynamics.
  • Team Building + Exposure where you will need more than technical know-how to be successful, which is why we have incorporated team building and other activities to help you meet our team and learn from their experiences.

Financial Institution Consultant - Nashville, TN

Responsibilities:

  • Perform internal audits and compliance reviewed for financial institutions in accordance with our internal audit programs determining the adequacy of internal controls. 
  • Coordinate audit schedule and activities with financial institution to best utilize available resources and achieve established objectives.
  • Review financial institution practices and records for compliance with established internal policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for researching, analyzing, and drawing conclusions related to all significant federal and state legal and regulatory requirements (i.e., Regulations B, C, D, E, AA, BB, CC, DD, X, Z, HOEPA, Fair Housing Act, Fair Credit Reporting Act, FACT Act, HPCT, HCML and HPML Provisions of Regulation Z) and their applicability to Client Bank’s products, services and systems.
  • Develop recommendations for improving internal controls, operating efficiency, and the adequacy of financial institution records and recordkeeping.
  • Report audit findings and recommendations to appropriate management based on the results of regularly scheduled audits.
  • Serve as a compliance resource to our Client Banks and assist our Shareholders and Financial Institution team with maintaining a cutting-edge awareness of regulatory compliance and legislative developments and industry trends.
  • Provide training in compliance matters and regulations to Client Bank Personnel as assigned and directed by the Financial Institution Shareholder in-charge.
  • Provide Consulting Assistance to Client Banks regarding updating policies and procedures, as necessary; and other duties that may be assigned by the Financial Institution Shareholder in-charge.
  • Maintain professional association membership and participate in events that promote interaction with existing clients and prospects.

Qualifications:

  • Requires a business-related degree or a combination of education and related work experience.
  • Requires a minimum of 5-10 years of related job experience, internal audit or compliance certification is a plus.
  • Bank Secrecy Act and/or Loan Compliance experience is desired.
  • CRCM Certification preferred, but not required.
  • Experience with risk identification and analysis.
  • Awareness of regulatory rules such as HMDA, ECOA, RESPA, TILA and TRID
  • Ability to communicate both written and verbally with regards to audit findings.
  • Ability to plan, and prioritize, work independently, and organize work effectively.
  • Ability to work under pressure and time deadlines.

Network Support Technician for Saltmarsh Client - Pensacola, FL

Crown Health Care Laundry Services, LLC. is looking for a qualified technician who will be responsible for working with Saltmarsh, Cleaveland & Gund to keep the computer network running smoothly for their six state locations, review and address support requests from users escalating when necessary, review and analyze software and hardware needs, upkeep of inventory and documentation, maintain vendor relationships, recommends changes and upgrades where applicable to provide efficient, effective, and timely service to users in the company.

Essential Functions:

  • Field and prioritize all IT Support tickets and escalate as needed to IT Management.
  • Work with IT Management to see all IT Support tickets thru resolution in timely and responsive manner
  • Setup new users on network and provides access to appropriate software.
  • Setup and maintain new workstations, printers, and other network devices.
  • Keep inventory of computer equipment and software licensing.
  • Support of different software applications, work with outsourced IT Management to plan and execute installs of new software and update existing installs.
  • Perform minor repairs to equipment, maintain hardware in good working order.
  • Helps staff with computer/printer problems (hardware and software).
  • Support email and Office 365.
  • Monitor Backups and work with IT Management to remediate any failures
  • Scheduled site visits to remote sites to maintain relationship with operational staff and maintain onsite systems and spare parts.
  • Such other duties as may be assigned. 

Working Conditions:

  • Occasional same day or overnight travel for work at remote sites using a personal vehicle.
  • Frequent overtime work required throughout the year for off-hours maintenance and/or support.
  • Heavy lifting, up to 40 pounds may be required at times.
  • Frequent walking, including up and down stairs required.
  • Some work supporting computer systems inside active laundry plant facilities.

Education, Experience and Skills Required:

  • Required - least two years experience in network administration/support.

Administrative / Marketing Assistant - Tampa, FL

The Administrative/Marketing Assistant will have administrative responsibilities and will frequently involve independent judgment. Assists in coordinating, implementing and monitoring approved firm marketing projects for the Financial Institutions practice.  Provide backup to the department’s other administrative professional(s).

Essential functions include the following example duties:

  • Supports all service delivery and marketing/business development/growth efforts of the financial institutions practice.
  • Proofreads and corrects drafts for grammar, punctuation, spelling, and addition, in order to produce error-free work.
  • Answers telephones and answers routine questions or route calls to appropriate staff members. 
  • Schedules appointments, keeps appointment calendars, and schedules travel arrangements, as requested for specific departments or staff.
  • Types and binds reports, assembles manuals and seminar materials, and assists in creating training materials for events.
  • Work with practice leadership to maintain the user group listings and regulatory mailing list(s).
  • Coordinate scheduling of bank client service calls, webinars, and business roundtables/councils.
  • Assist managers with GoToMeeting, GoToWebinar or other meetings/conference calls; set up and monitor questions during the sessions.
  • Tracks client and prospective client data and compiles marketing reports, possibly using various software products.
  • Receives, reads and routes incoming mail (including email) to shareholder or department staff.
  • Maintains files (electronic, etc.) of correspondence and other records.
  • Maintains control files (electronic, etc.) of matters in progress.
  • Assist the practice’s marketing activities, including coordinating follow-up after presentations or business development visits.
  • Maintain financial institutions practice marketing materials; pack and ship for conferences and presentations.
  • Provides support for all marketing communications and presentation materials, including brochures and literature, newsletters, direct response pieces, and any other materials.
  • Assists with the preparation and submission of written proposals; maintains files on all proposals, together with tracking results.
  • Assists with the establishment and maintenance of firm marketing distribution lists.
  • Work with Marketing and practice leadership to monitor social media platforms.
  • Performs such other duties as may be assigned.

Qualifications: 

  • Requires a bachelor’s degree in business administration / marketing or equivalent. 
  • One year of general administrative, clerical and marketing/graphic design experience.
  • Knowledge of current office methods and procedures, telephone etiquette, and office equipment, as well as business English usage, spelling, grammar, and punctuation.
  • Ability to work under pressure, perform several tasks concurrently with speed and accuracy.
  • Self-starter with ability to work well independently with a team of diverse personalities with minimal supervision.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Adobe InDesign experience desired.
  • Strong verbal, organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Executes assignments of a confidential nature; requires ability to keep matters confidential.
  • Heavy overtime hours may be required during busy times; may be in excess of 50 hours per week.
