Join our Financial Institution Advisory Group for a comprehensive in-person workshop on the Fundamentals of Lending Compliance. Our trusted, in-house team of loan compliance auditors and advisors will address the regulatory requirements of taking applications and originating and closing residential, commercial and consumer loans and lines of credit. 

This event will also highlight recent changes to the requirements, as well as ones on the way. Prepare yourself with this Fundamentals refresh, and share best practice tips through peer-to-peer discussion in managing these everyday challenges.

Day 1| Residential Lending 

Monday, April 26 | 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM (EST)

This full-day session will address the regulatory requirements for taking applications, originating, and closing closed-end residential mortgage loans. 

Regulations and topics will include: ECOA (Fair lending, taking applications and making disclosures, appraisal requirements); HMDA (gathering the information); FCRA (permissible purpose, notice to home loan applicant, risk-based pricing notice); E-SIGN; TILA-RESPA (Initial disclosures, ATR, HOEPA, Escrow, changed circumstances, closing disclosures, construction loans, rescission); Flood; RESPA Section 8 prohibitions, affiliated businesses; and Hot topics in Servicing (FCRA, Force placement, Escrow, SCRA). Other topics may also be covered in discussion with your peers as part of the classroom/workshop atmosphere. Lunch and refreshments will be provided.  

Day 2 | Commercial & Consumer Lending  

Tuesday, April 27 | 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM (EST)

We’ll conclude with a half-day session addressing the regulatory requirements required for taking applications, originating and closing commercial and consumer loans (including unsecured, auto loans, personal lines of credit, and HELOCs). 

Regulations and topics will include: ECOA (Fair lending, applications and disclosures, co-signers and spousal guarantees, appraisals); HMDA (gathering the info); FCRA (permissible purpose, notice to home loan applicant, risk-based pricing notice); E-SIGN; MLA; TILA (HOEPA, rescission); Flood; and Hot topics in Servicing (periodic statements, SCRA).  Other topics may also be covered in discussion with your peers as part of the classroom/workshop atmosphere. Breakfast and refreshments will be provided. 

BONUS: Each session will highlight recent and upcoming regulatory changes and their impact on your compliance program and processes.
