We believe in making connections – not only with our current and future clients but also with movers and shakers in our communities and surrounding areas. That’s why we encourage our Saltmarsh family members to network, get involved in organizations and invest in relationships! It is Fundamental #29 from our 33 Fundamentals, after all.

Our team is out doing great things, and being recognized, too! Recently, Financial Institutions Shareholder, Paul Allen, CPA, was presented with the 2022 T. Eugene Spragens III Presidential Award. This award was established and funded in 1999 by Gene Spragens, past president of the Graduate School of Banking at LSU to memorialize Gene’s son and honor GSBLSU’s most valuable resource: their faculty. The selection criteria for the award included (1) teaching performance as measured by student and administrative evaluations, and (2) involvement in promoting and supporting GSBLSU and its educational mission. Congratulations, Paul, on receiving this prestigious award!

Paul also recently joined Tax Director, Stacey Craig, CPA, and Audit Shareholder, Chuck Landers, CPA, CIT at the FAMU College of Law 20th Anniversary Celebration in downtown Orlando on October 22nd.  Saltmarsh was pleased to sponsor a corporate table to celebrate the 20th anniversary along with FAMU students, alumni and the Orlando business community.

Earlier in the year, Jeanne Profita, Jennifer Sheffield and Glenn Scharf, CPA, all part of our Outsourced Accounting Solutions practice, attended The Woodard Scaling New Heights Accounting Conference in Orlando to learn about the latest and greatest in accounting technology.

Cristine Torrefranca, CPA, Senior Audit Manager and Bay Area Manufacturing Association (BAMA) Treasurer, has been networking all over the Tampa Bay area at events like our Manufacturing Lunch & Learn with American Momentum BankThe Florida CFO Group and BAMA. She was also spotted at the University of South Florida Muma Conversation with CEO, the University of Tampa Business Network Symposium and the Tampa Bay Economic Development Council Annual Meeting!

Our unofficial golf team including Chris Stennett, CFP®, Chris Biedal, Chase Ibbotson, CPA, and Patrick Smith were also spotted at the greens throughout Tampa Bay supporting the Florida Surety Association, the University of South Florida BAP and the FICPA Suncoast Scramble!

Katherine Creel, Tax Senior and President of The Junior League of Pensacola, Inc., has been heavily involved in advancing social activism and women's leadership efforts through her role. Junior League recently organized a casserole drive for the Ronald McDonald House Charities and a Healthy Halloween event at their community center!

These are just a few of the happenings within our communities from our Saltmarsh family. We are grateful to have such active team members that continually make our firm stronger through their dedication to serving and learning more about our industries.
