HRSA Announces New Process for Late Reporting Due to Extenuating Circumstances

The Late Reporting process is intended for providers who were required to report on their usage of Provider Relief Fund payments but were prevented from doing so due to one or more allowable extenuating circumstances, including:

  • Severe Illness or Death
  • Impacted by a natural disaster
  • Lack of receipt of reporting communications
  • Failure to click “submit”
  • Internal miscommunication error
  • Incomplete targeted distribution payments

Requests for late reporting for Reporting Period 1 may be submitted between Monday, April 11, 2022, and Friday, April 22, 2022, at 11:59 pm (EST).

  • Late reporting request forms will be available on Monday, April 11, 2022.
  • Providers whose Request for Late Reporting is approved will have ten days from the date they are notified to complete their reporting for the applicable period.
  • Providers whose Request for Late Reporting is denied will still be considered non-compliant and will be required to return funds.

The upcoming window for submitting Requests for Late Reporting currently applies only to Reporting Period 1, which closed on September 30, 2021. Reporting Period 2 closed on March 31, 2022, and reporting Period 3 opens on July 1, 2022.
