Provider Relief Fund Reporting Period 3 Is Now Open

7/7/2022 - By Andrew Kent, Esq., CVA, CHC

HHS Provider Relief Fund Reporting Period 3 opened on Friday, July 1st, and will remain open through Friday, September 30th, at 11:59 PM (EST).

Providers who received one or more General and/or Targeted payments between January 1, 2021, and June 30, 2021, totaling more than $10,000 in the aggregate will need to report on the use of those payments during the Round 3 reporting cycle. This may include Quality Incentive Program payments received in January and February 2021.

Reporting Period 3 covers qualified expenses and/or lost revenues incurred through June 30, 2022.

HHS will host a Technical Assistance Webinar for new reporters on July 12, 2022, and for returning reporters on July 13, 2022. We strongly recommend all reporting entities sign up for and participate in the HHS webinars. HHS has also updated their FAQs, and we recommend all providers review these revised FAQs prior to submitting their Round 3 reports.

HHS has also announced a new, one-time opportunity for providers who did not submit a timely report during Reporting Period 1 and subsequently returned funds to HHS prior to HHS announcing the process for late reporting due to extenuating circumstances. Providers who fit this profile are expected to have a window to submit reports and have their Reporting Period 1 payments reissued. This reporting window is expected to open on August 22, 2022, and remain open through September 9, 2022.
