The effective date of the new lease standard codified in Accounting Standards Codification, Topic 842 (ASC 842) is right around the corner for non-public entities. Beginning in January 2022, the way non-public organizations account for leases will change fundamentally and now is the time to prepare for this change to ensure a smooth and seamless transition.
Our webinar presented by Philip de Boer, CPA, will discuss reporting challenges created by new standards, including:
- Examples of journal entries under the new standard;
- New disclosures required under ASC 842, and;
- Impact of the new standard on bond covenants and reporting of income taxes.
