2014 Tax Day Deals and Freebies!

This is the day that many of our "Saltmarshians" have been looking forward to for weeks, some even months!! Long nights crunching numbers, coming to the office on the weekends and phone calls with the IRS have become the norm around here, but we are proud to report that WE HAVE MADE IT TO APRIL 15th!
It's no big secret that the arrival of this day comes as quite a relief to those in the world accounting and finance. Now, to top it off, April 15th has also become a day that everyone can appreciate! Many restaurants and retailers have come to use Tax Day as a time to offer freebies and other deals to the public. We don't know about you, but you slap the word FREE in front of just about anything and it makes life feel a little less "taxing."
Here are some of the best 2014 Tax Day freebies and deals we've found:
- Arby's: Present this coupon for a free order of snack-sized curly fries on April 15.
- Sonic Drive-In: "Happy Hour All Day" with half-priced drinks and slushes on April 15.
- Office Depot: Looking to shred those tax documents? Present this coupon and Office Depot will shred up to 5lbs of paper free of charge through April 29.
- Pinkberry: Bring proof of purchase from day before to receive half-off an equivalent froyo purchase.
- McDonalds: Free small coffee during breakfast hours on April 15.
- Schlotzsky's: "The Original" small sandwich free with purchase of a 32-oz. drink and chips on April 15.
- Sonny's BBQ: Irresistible Ribs Special (IRS) - Half off of Sweet & Smokey or House Dry-Rubbed Ribs lunch or dinner plate all day on April 15.
- Great American Cookies: Free chocolate chip cookie on April 15.
- California Torilla: Free chips and queso dip on April 15 if you know the secret password: "Taxes Shmaxes."
- Bonefish Grill: $5 off two dinner entrees with Facebook offer. Valid through April 17.
- Chili's: Free appetizer or kid's meal with the purchase of an adult entree. Expires Wednesday.
- Dunkin' Donuts: Present coupon available on Dunkin' Donuts mobile app for free Turbo Shot on April 15.
- PizzaHut.com: Large pizza with choice of breadsticks, cinnamon sticks or chocolate dunkers for $10.99 with code TAXDAY on April 15. (online orders only)
- Cinnabon: Two free Cinnabon Bites per customer on April 15, while supplies last on April 15 (participating locations only).
