Saltmarsh Attends the 2016 Florida Bankers Annual Meeting

Our Financial Institutions Team had an absolute blast at the Florida Bankers Association Annual Meeting in Miami Beach earlier this week! The 3 day conference was jam-packed with great speakers and wonderful company to enjoy the conference with.

As Silver Sponsors of the event, we had the opportunity to introduce both of the keynote speakers. Our President, Lee Bell introduced James Kane, a behavioral scientist that specializes in the emotion of loyalty. There are many benefits from receiving loyalty from a customer, employee, volunteer, etc. and Kane shared how companies can prosper by fostering different types of benefits that come with loyalty.

Kristen Stogniew had the honor of introducing the other keynote speaker, Kris “Tanto” Paronto. He is a former US Army Ranger that is celebrated as a national hero of the Benghazi Attack. During his presentation, he discussed his first-hand experience on the CIA Annex Security Team that responded to the Benghazi terrorist attack on a US Special Mission. It was quite thrilling to hear his experience and we can’t wait to read the book “13 Hours” which was written by himself and his surviving team members.

Beyond the keynote speakers, we enjoyed the many workshops and sessions that continue to further educate us on our industry and the upcoming trends. We also made time for fun by participating in the Fun Run/Walk, hosted by the Florida Bankers Educational Foundation! It’s always a pleasure to support a great organization while getting some exercise.
