1/23/2017 - By Zachary Farrington

Saltmarsh shareholders Kristen Stogniew, Esq., CFE and Stephen Reyes, CISA, CISSP will be speaking on regulatory and technology subject matters at the South Florida Compliance Association’s February seminar “Ramping Up Consumer Protection.” As shareholders in the Financial Institutions Advisory Group, Kristen provides guidance to financial institutions and our team of auditors and consultants, and Stephen is in charge of the IT Services Department and oversees the firm’s provision of IT compliance and security audits.

Financial institutions must bolster their consumer protection efforts in the UDAAP environment. In addition to exploring the nuances of UDAAP, other venues where consumer protection is of utmost importance will be discussed. These areas include:

  • Analyzing UDAAP’s subjectivity
  • Building an Effective Customer Complaint Program
  • Promoting consumer protection through ADA Web Compliance and regulatory expectations
  • Establishing Social Media guidelines for consumer communication
